Friday Club - Games...
One Friday we played a game where you were given a load of stuff and had to make up another game using all the various bits and pieces.
This is one of the Games that we came up with:

Hyper-Dribble Bowl
To play Hyper-Dribble Bowl you will need the following -
  • Plastic cricket stumps
  • 2 Hoola hoops (The plastic spinney round things not the potato snacks!)
  • A cheap and nasty flyaway football
  • A tennis ball
  • An old tennis racket
  • A team of people

Firstly place the two hoola hoops on the floor about one meter apart from each other.
Then place the plastic cricket stumps in line with the two hoops another 1 meter away from one end of the hoola hoops.
Next place the football in the hoop furthest away from the stumps.

Your team of people line up behind the hoop with the football in it. One person from the team takes it in turn to stand in the hoola hoop with the football in it. From the hoop you must hit the tennis ball at the cricket stumps but it must bounce in the second hoop before it hits the stumps (otherwise it doesn't count and you've wasted a go).

If you knock the bails off the stumps then you get 3 points. If you miss then you can try again but you only get 2 points and if you miss again you've got one last try and you can get one point for hitting the bails off the stumps. If you don't get the bails off in three goes then you get no points at all (Sorry!).
After your attempts to knock the bails off have finished, then you must dribble the football from the first hoop around the back of the cricket stumps and then back into the hoop again. You have to return the football to the hoop before the next person in the team can step into the hoop and have a go with the tennis racket.

There is a time limit imposed and your team must score the most points in the time period to win the game. You can play two or more teams against each other if you've got enough equipment.
It's a good idea to have one team member to catch the tennis balls after each attempt to knock the bails off, so they can throw it back to the person in the hoop.
