IN FOCUS - The Managing Committee | |
At our church, as with most Christadelphian Churches, we have an unpaid, democratically
elected Managing Committee. The members of the committee meet regularly, and any member
of our church is free to attend the meetings. The committee oversees a wide variety of
things covering most aspects of church life; its purpose is outlined as follows:"To serve God & the Lord Jesus by seeking to meet the spiritual, practical and welfare needs of the church. To be a focus for spiritual leadership. To be responsible for the financial and administrative running of the church." |

THOUGHT - "The World and its Troubles" | |

The Sands of Time are fast running out for this world, unprecedented disaster is
imminent and there is nothing you can do to avoid it - or is there? The world is getting itself further into trouble with all its wars, pollution and discontent. No matter how many human movements 'mankind' engages in to try to improve the situation, the problems continue. So what would you say if someone promised you that there was a time coming when all these issues will disappear, when there will be peace, health and true happiness - would you say "Impossible"? For mankind to bring it about, yes, impossible - but not for God. Please do not switch off when you hear his name; He is the only answer to all our problems. His book 'The Bible' reveals his plan and purpose in detail. If you have tried to read it and found it difficult, then let us help you. You may be surprised at the contentment you could gain!
