Sunday Morning Services
Every Sunday at 10:30 am. All welcome.
We sing hymns together and read from the Bible. Usually there's a fair amount
of announcements about things going on during the week but also about the welfare of
various members of the church. The Sunday Morning service is often a time of quiet
meditation and a time of drawing very close to God and of sharing fellowship with
our 'brothers' and 'sisters'.
Every week someone will prepare some words of encouragement for us.
During our Sunday morning service we share bread and wine as the Lord Jesus commanded;
to remember that he died for us and that we are part of his body, the church.
Those who share the bread and wine are all members of the church, having made a commitment
to a belief in Jesus as Lord and have been baptised into his name.
Please see the March April 1999 Newsletter for a personal perspective.
There is a Crèche available during the Sunday morning services.

Sunday Evening Services
Every Sunday at 6:00 pm.
The Sunday evening service has a varied format;
it usually lasts for about an hour and can include praise, prayers, readings,
talks and presentations. The services are given by the members of the church in
Manchester or by members of other Christadelphian churches.
The subjects covered by the evening services are aimed more at those who have not
fully committed themselves to Jesus yet but want to know more about the teachings
of the Bible.
Please see the What's On section for details of the services that have been planned for the next few months.

Sunday School
We hold a lively Sunday
School every Sunday afternoon from 2:45 to 4:00. The age range is
from 4 years of age to 6 years old for infants, 7 years to 10 years for
juniors and 11 years upwards for seniors. There is also a Bible discussion
group for adults. The average attendance is around 60 each week. The aims
of the Sunday School are to teach the children about the love of God and of his
son the Lord Jesus for them and to read God's word, the Bible, which gives
hope for the future of the world and also the people upon it.

Youth Clubs
There are 2 clubs run for
the children during the week, for the juniors on Tuesday evenings and
for the seniors on Friday evenings.
Tuesday Club
(A.K.A. Junior Youth Group)
- What happens at 6:45pm every Tuesday?
- Junior Club takes place in the "Bethel" Sunday School building.
- Who is it for?
- Any 7 to 11 year old who comes on a Sunday to Sunday School can take part in Tuesday club.
- What goes on?
- Everything and anything! A programme of activities is planned every 6 months and includes
games, quizzes, art, drama, swimming, outings plus a whole bag of other things.
- Does it cost anything?
- 10 pence a week! That is all we ask. The church pays for all of the equipment and other
activities. There is a tuck shop, but we restrict the amount that can be spent to 30p a week.
- Why do you do it?
- All the leaders involved want to provide a safe place for the young people of the church
to come and play, meet their friends and take part in new activities. We see the club as an
important extension to the Sunday School.
- What about school the next day?
- We understand that parents want their children to have a good night's rest before school,
so club finishes no later than 8:30 and we make sure all the children are taken home directly.
- Who can I speak to in order to find out more?
- At least one of the club leaders will be available on any Sunday to answer any questions
you might have - Alternatively pop in and see us any Tuesday evening between 6:45 and 8:30.
Friday Club
(A.K.A. Senior Youth Group)
Friday club meets on Friday at 7:30 pm and finishes at around 10:00.
See the Friday Club page.

Holidays
We also hold annual holidays
for both the junior and senior age groups, it's a wonderful way to learn how to live together
as followers of the Lord Jesus.

Bible Class
- When is it?
- Thursday evenings 8 o'clock until 9.30
- Where is it?
- In our Sunday School room behind the church.
- What is it?
- It is a time to study the Bible and get to know who God and Jesus are and
how they want us to live. We cover all sorts of subjects, from going through
individual books of the Bible to prophecy and current affairs to how the first
churches dealt with the same problems that churches all over the world have today.
We also have evenings devoted to prayer.
- What happens?
- There is no set pattern for Bible class. A different person leads each week, so
the format is always varied. There may be a talk involving some discussion, or a
short talk followed by smaller groups of discussion and then some feedback, or it
might take the form of workshops where each group looks at something quite different
within the theme and then presents it to the rest. Sometimes we use drama and art
to help us understand things.
Bible class is not only a time for stimulating discussion but it is also a great
chance to get to know people.
- Why don't you come along and find out for yourself?
